| | Blending of wool is conducted prior to scouring for a number of
reasons, as outlined below. A strict quality control system is used, with multiple
inspections of all wool entering the scour to detect contaminants and
sub-standard wool.

Why is wool blended?
- To homogenise different wool types to achieve a single,
consistent blend.
- If necessary, to remove dirt and vegetable matter from the wool prior to
scouring (using purpose-built machinery), to make the actual scour process less difficult and more efficient
on resources.
