| A significant logistics operation is necessary to ensure that wool reaches and leaves GWS, within the required timetable. Over 20,000 tons of greasy wool annually enters GWS. All wool is transported by truck (semi trailers and 'B-doubles'). Road transport is used in preference to rail, as trains cannot meet the strict timeframes inherent in current-day wool scouring. On-site facilities include 20' and 40' container loaders, which enhance the diversity of logistics operations at GWS.
Where do we get our wool from, and where does it go?
